As we reported on Wednesday, there’s been some confusion about the role of outgoing Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S.’s CEO Jack Kliger. Is he the chairman, as we thought? Or is he getting the boot from Elle’s publisher?

Anne Janas, SVP of corporate communications at HFMUS, emailed the following explanation:

For clarification on Jack Kliger’s role at Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S., he is senior advisor to HFM U.S. president and CEO Alain Lemarchand through the end of the year.

Just as we suspected.

Also at HFMUS, Jack Grant, previously the vice president and publisher of Home, is the company’s new VP, integrated sales.
