The creators of Sexgrid.com claim that the idea for site was born out of many sleepless, caffeine-fueled nights: personally, we wouldn’t be too surprised to learn that there was something a little stronger than caffeine at work during their planning sessions. We’re sure that there’s some combination of sleeplessness, drugs, and, um, more drugs (or maybe some hubris) that would make this seem like the best thing to hit pornwatching. And if someone figures out what that combination is, could they please tell us?

The main draw of Sexgrid is that many videos appear on the page at once, and you can watch as many as you want (or, more accurately, as many as your browser will allow), simultaneously streaming porn video upon porn video upon porn video (we only got up to six, and our system overloaded). The videos themselves do not have permalink pages: to find the video of your choice, you must search by tag and/or description.

Truly, it’s a novel idea, but it seems to ignore some of the basic things that people want out of their porn sites. Like, for instance, an easy way to link back to a specific video (linking to the “Ashlynn Brooke” search page, then instructing the user to look for the video where she’s wearing a pink sweater doesn’t quite cut it in our book). Oh, and there doesn’t seem to be anyway to embed the content—a definite minus in our book.

Sexgrid is certainly novel, but we’re not really sure it’s anything more than that. Call us old fashioned, but we’ll be sticking to some of the more traditional tube sites for now. We may not be able to watching five videos at once on XTube… but you know, we’re not so sure that that’s a bad thing.
