The Texas primaries (and caucuses!) weren’t the only things keeping us glued to our screens this week as we breathlessly followed reigning Fleshbot MILF favorite Vicky Vette in her ongoing quest to be elected Miss MySpace USA: after gaining and maintaining an early lead in the vote tally, Vicki found her profile pulled by the site’s organizers due to the fact that it linked to her adults-only website and “the threat to minors that it would cause”. (Because, you know, all those other babes vying for the title are such paragons of family-friendly virtue themselves.) After much hue and cry by her fan base though, Vicki’s candidacy was restored — and she’s now offering a special discount to new members of the site to celebrate her impending victory. Who says it doesn’t pay to be politcally engaged?

Fleshbot’s reigning 2007 Crush Object (and, not incidentally, AVN Performer of the Year) Sasha Grey is a woman of many talents, not all of which are limited to starring roles as mopey teens in hardcore porn movies: this week, she continues her quest for world domination through a star turn in the new video for the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Superchrist”, which premieres on their MySpace page today. If you found yourself somewhat underwhelmed by gay contestants Neil Garcia and Joshuah Welch on “Big Brother 8″ … well, we’re not sure that these “half-naked pics, some underwear pics and a butt shot” that one blogger found on Neil’s MySpace page will change your mind: apparently, “it isn’t really that exciting” but we’re told (and shown!) that Neil is “shirtless in a lot of them and if you’re the type who likes guys that call their arm muscles ‘guns’ then he’s your man.” (bilerico.com)

If you could go on the internet and see the members of your city council in their underwear, would you really want to? What if your representative was an 18-year-old hottie, with a love of cheap booze and stripper poles? Then it’s too bad that you didn’t vote for Laura Pye, the youngest female councilor in Great Britain, who ran for office last year to show that the young peoples are “not all hood-wearing yobs getting drunk.” Well, the old people (not us!) are wondering if she’s doing such a good job of that since her Facebook and MySpace pages are populated with Laura and her friends frolicking like, well … drunken yobs. It’s all very shocking and scandalous, but then again, they did elect and 18-year-old to run their town. Half-naked MySpace pictures are just a plank of the party platform.
